 Toronto Dollar Speaker Series
Ontario’s Energy Future
smart prices, green sources, healthy profits
With the election results in and everyone focusing on the future of Canada’s environment, economy and health care system, where do we stand with regards to Ontario’s energy future? With pledges to phase out dirty coal and the potential for costly, unsafe nuclear energy to take its place, what will be the overall impact on our environment, economy and quality of life? How can we ensure that future generations, low income families and small businesses benefit from the actions we take?
Jack Gibbons, Chair of the Ontario Clean Air Alliance, has some answers. In presenting the OCAA’s groundbreaking new report, A New Electricity Strategy for Ontario – increasing productivity and moving towards a renewable future, Mr. Gibbons will speak to the benefits of focusing on “rewarding efficient energy use instead of subsidizing inefficient consumption” and the pathway to a prosperous, productive and competitive future for the residents and businesses of Ontario.
Advance ticket holders will receive a complementary coffee, tea, or pop with the purchase of any entree. The admission charge is being donated to Toronto Dollar, benefiting community projects
