As mentioned in our last e-news, on Wednesday January 20 we are putting our incumbent house scotch, Johnnie Walker Red, up against seven challengers to determine which should be our go-to brand. Ballantine's, Chivas Regal, Dewar's, The Famous Grouse, J&B Rare, Johnnie Walker Red, Teacher's, and White & McKay will be sampled in a "blind" tasting.

Stan's Bier Catalogue du Quebec

One of our subscribers, Stan Fuglewicz (great beer name), has sent us multiple megabytes of information on the breweries and beers of la Belle Province. He has personally tracked down and purchased 299 beers from 34 brewers. If this subject interests you, we have started to post the info in our forum for you to peruse at your leisure. We will be adding a brewery or two every day until we work through his list. Stan is heading out to the west coast on another fact-finding mission so we should have some more grist for the mill soon - if we can keep up.

Meanwhile, inspired by Stan's example, we will be working on a similar "guide" for Ontario brews.

The Danger Bees
