CASK Crawl

Friday April 3 to Sunday April 5

Our friends at CASK have put together a Cask Ale Festival with a twist: It is taking place at six different establishments at the same time!

"Gather your friends and join the Cask Ale Crawl - an informal trail around six of Toronto’s best cask ale pubs. There is no fixed schedule or sequence, and no admission charge, just show up at each pub and sample the specially selected cask conditioned ales that will be on offer, with up to 15 different cask ales available in total. Pick up a festival passport at any participating pub and collect stamps at each stop to be entered into a prize draw."

For our part we will be featuring: Al's Cask Ale, Durham Hop Head, Grand River Curmudgeon IPA and Plowman's Ale, and Neustadt Big Dog Porter in 330 and 550 mL sizes.

More details will be available at the CASK website.

Marianne Turner + Eve and the Ocean

Marianne Turner's debut EP Let Her Let Go is packed with relentless Pop-Rock melodies met with compelling lyrics and a voice that embodies both strength and vulnerability. Her music is fundamentally based on very personal and intense struggles, and like so many great songwriters before her, Marianne perfectly captures the emotions of listeners with unapologetic songs of love, loss and the strength needed to let go. Exposing ego and humanness, her instincts are most powerful in live performance, where her presence, passion and conviction connect with her audience.

Saturday March 21, Doors 9:30 pm, Show time 10:00 pm, Advance tickets are available for $6.00

Darrelle London + Kendal Thompson

Darrelle's story is one of following your heart over your head. With the smarts to get accepted to law school, she chose to instead take a chance on her music. So far, so good. In a short while, Darrelle has played solo shows in Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Fredericton, Guelph and Kingston. She has showcased at many festivals, including WinterFolk, International Pop Overthrow and IndieWeek Canada. Her music has been aired on CBC Radio 2 and CHSR (Fredericton). and recorded an EP titled My Piano. Darrelle is now ready to take the next steps in her career with Edible Word Parade, produced by Brian Allen and Marc Koecher.
But Darrelle isn’t some naïve songbird, longing for true love everlasting. It’s the twenty-first century and Darrelle is an artist for these modern times. Edible Word Parade is a collection of nine catchy, piano-driven tunes, delivered with surprising strength and confidence, her smarts injected into her witty lyrics. Sure, you broke her heart but she’ll put you in your place with a wink and a smile.

Thursday March 26, Doors 9:30 pm, Show time 10:00 pm, Advance tickets are available for $6.00
