The Treble | Beer Of The Month | Local Cider Tasting | Beerology Book Launch

The Treble

Appearing Saturday April 5 at 9:30 PM, advance tickets are available for $10online.

When your band hails from Winnipeg, Manitoba, the hard-bitten Canadian prairie town that has produced some of the most iconic, legendary and important artists to ever come from The Great White North, you have some pretty big musical shoes to fill.

Since 2010, The Treble has carved out a reputation for crafting impressively bold and unique folk-infused pop music that has enough of the integral rock vibe to appeal to a phenomenal cross-section of music lovers.

Produced by Chris Burke-Gaffney (Chantal Kreviazuk, McMaster and James), the band's recently released second EP "Northern Lights" is now their main focus as they criss-cross the country, charming music lovers from coast to coast.

Beer Of The Month

Muskoka Detour

IBU: 30, ABV: 4.3%

"Life’s more interesting when you take the less paddled fork in the river. That’s how we developed Muskoka Detour. We took a left turn from a normal IPA, dry-hopping it to create a truly sessionable brew with a rewarding aroma, big hop flavours and clean finish. The result is a perfect way to quench your thirst for the unexpected."

Local Cider Tasting

Tuesday April 15 at 7 PM, advance tickets are available for $22 online.

We are celebrating the spring thaw with a special tasting of eight local Ontario ciders. A great way to get your vitamin C and ABV.

Featured will be products from Brickworks, Coffin Ridge Cider, County Cider, Duxbury Cider, Pommies Cider, Spirit Tree, Sunnybrook, and Thornbury.

Book Launch, Beer & Cheese Pairing

Tuesday May 13 at 7 PM, advance tickets are available for $24 online.

A beer & cheese pairing to celebrate the official Beerology book launch. This guided tasting pairs four local craft beers with small-batch Canadian cheeses.

Beerology - Everything You Need to Know to Enjoy Beer...Even More

If you’ve ever experienced the pleasure of a pint, Beerology is the ultimate guide to exploring, understanding and enjoying the world of beer.

Mirella Amato - one of only seven Certified Master Cicerones (beer sommeliers) in the world - navigates the multifaceted world of beer with a refreshingly accessible style. Broken down into fun, easy-to-read chapters, Beerology starts with an introduction to beer and tips on storage and cellaring, then leads into a guide on tasting.

Toronto-based Mirella Amato has dedicated herself to promoting local beer and beer appreciation since 2007. She is the first non-US resident to earn the title of Master Cicerone. Mirella is a National Level BJCP judge and has sat on juries for the Canadian Brewing Awards, the Great American Beer Festival, the European Beer Star and the World Beer Cup. She was the recipient of the 2012 OCB Centre of Excellence Industry Choice Award in Food & Beer Matching Development. She can frequently be heard on CBC Radio and her writing has appeared in a number of beer magazines. This is her first book.
