Toronto Beer Week Festival 2014

We hosted our annual fall beer festival to full houses on Friday September 12 and Saturday September 13, 2014. Over 1,100 people participated in tasting sixty-eight different offerings including fourteen casks.

About one in five of those in attendance got their geek on by rating the brews on offer. The hit of the festival was Nickel Brook's Headstock IPA which, at 80 IBU and 7% alcohol, turned a lot of heads. It was the only beer to finish with a median score of eight out of ten.

Brewers are obviously having as much fun naming their creations as brewing them. Granite's Crazy Legs With Peaches got the most attention and was the most rated beer. Other notable beer names include Hopsta La Vista, Mash 'n Pumpkins, Skinny Dipping With Chipotle Stout, Bloody Wanker ESB, and our own Burnt Offering Harvest Ale.

Check out the festival honour roll here.
