The
release of their debut CD, Tourists In My
Life, showcases this duo's incomparable sound
suggesting elements of jazz and folk, with
infectious melodies and honest lyrics that are
undeniably pop. Nikki
Loney's vocal versatility is evident as she
seamlessly flows from smooth and sultry to breathy
and haunting. Her talent as a vocalist and lyricist
is evident as she takes on a lounge sensibility
with clarity and flare. Justin
Abedin (Jacksoul) creates a myriad of
contrapuntal textures, playing chords & bass
lines simultaneously on his custom 8-string guitar.
The tasteful addition of percussion, cello and
woodwinds embellish the material with depth and
ambience. Lyrically
and musically, their organic style is a refreshing
alternative, embracing a mosaic of sounds truly
creating "new music." Tourists
In My Life has been featured on the CBC national
radio program Definitely Not The Opera and
Northern Tracks (95.1FM The Peak's
new music program) as well as various campus radio
stations across Canada (debuted at #31 on CKMS
100.3 FM University of Waterloo radio).
Dandelion Girl has broken the pop vocal top
ten on MP3.com, is currently receiving US

included on 103 of the BEST MP3's
compilation culled from over 50,000 tunes.
