Brothers Creeggan If you're not familiar with the name, the Creeggans are: Andy on keyboards and Jim on bass (with guests on other percussive things). Although the two began playing music together in high school as a holiday four-track recording project, they are perhaps best known as members of Reprise recording artists Barenaked Ladies. But under the apt name The Brothers Creeggan, Andy and Jim have released two full length CDs. With their music firmly centered around simple pop tunes, the flavour is always unique and entertaining as they "add hints of classical composition, some jazzy tinges, the odd West African time signature, some latin flavours as well as rare bits of ragtime." Finding the time around a vigorous touring schedule with Barenaked Ladies and appearing on recordings by the likes of Sarah McLachlin & Jane Siberry, Jim And Andy drop by C'est What for a show on Haloween. |
