Chris Graham

Chris Graham - vocals, guitar
Mark Pellizzer - guitar
Jon Fedorsen - drums
Gary Rugala - bass

Singing and writing songs are just the tip of the iceberg for modern rock artist Chris Graham. Chris also records, mixes and produces his own albums in his home studio, in addition to being a multi-instrumentalist and award winning film composer. Unlike his debut release though where Chris also played the instruments himself, on his upcoming 3-song EP, he brings his backing band into the studio to record on the tracks.

The band’s televised performance of the song “Call” from this EP was recently voted as the overwhelming audience favourite in TVOntario’s “Ontario Song Contest Grand Finale”. Chris and the band won with 50% out of a total of 13,000 online votes. This song was one of ten selected by members of Billboard magazine and the Canadian Press, out of hundreds of entries by Independent singer/songwriters from across the province.

Larry LeBlanc of Billboard magazine says Chris "was what we were looking for in the contest - a great voice and a wonderful songwriter - his lyrics are incredible". Chris’ music has also been described in the press as “soothing acoustic picking, hushed vocals, slow-motion electric guitar and eerie keyboards”. While Chris’ debut, solo CD pulled inspiration from a variety of sources, from globalization to genetically modified food, the soon to be released EP with the band is a more personal effort, focusing more on relationships amongst various people in his life.

Previous projects have included performing live at Woodstock '99, and released a CD with rock act, Ironic Twist in 2002 before venturing out on his own. As a film music composer, he received the award for Best International Short Film at the 2002 New York International Film Festival for his first project, Vodka, Winter and the Cry of Violin. In 2003, he received the Harvey Hart Film Award for scoring the short film Goodman. He is currently completing a commission to write a symphony for the Etobicoke orchestra for its 2005/6 season. Chris has toured across southern Ontario for the last few years, currently with a full band in support of Every Day Has An End.
