 Claire JenkinsClaire Jenkins' music sits comfortabley in the roots camp if one was looking merely to lump this songwriter into a category.But then we might miss out on the other influences and subtle flavours that surround her thoughtful and often left of centre version of the roots meets twang meets folk meets pop genre... Coming off the promo trail for her debut cd entitled Um, Jenkins has been busy getting the word out travelling as far off as Australlia and closer to home south of the border doing the festival route. Combining soft spoken odes [yet never placid] and cowboy drinking songs, Jenkins is bringing the cool back to solo guitar and voice. |
