Maria Dunn is a captivating singer, songwriter, guitarist, and accordion player whose music brings to life characters and stories that have one foot in yesterday and another firmly planted in now. She was born in Scotland and raised in Canada on a diet of 60's Scottish folk revival records and a healthy dose of Gordon Lightfoot and Johnny Cash. So it is no accident that her songwriting ranges from ancestral tales to country-tinged stories, from Celtic melodies to bluegrass.

Dunn has opened for Bill Bourne and Lynn Miles and is a regular on the Alberta festival circuit.
