Born in 1999 at Free Times Café, a well-known Toronto hot spot for emerging talent, half full has proved to be an act well worth nurturing and checking out. Encouraged by the audience's overwhelming response, the power trio added 2 more members to the family and now boast a 5 piece funkalicious rock-blues, pop-jazzy pastiche of sound. Their infectious grooves, unique compositions and eclectic musical styles have branded them the term revolutionary. Backed by experienced, diverse and talented crew, lead vocalist, Helen Garcia, fronts half full with dynamic vocal range and a gripping passionate stage delivery. Since inception half full has been committed, focused, artistically driven with an ear for smart pop. Their fan base has grown and their demand has landed them key industry events such as the 2002 Eye Weekly Canadian Music Week showcase and the 2001 Portugal Day festivals at Toronto 's Bellwoods Park , where more 10,000 people were in attendance. They continue to persevere and expose their addictive vibe, headlining numerous week-ends in various Toronto clubs, like C'est What Café, Healey's, Hard Rock Café and Clinton's. If you get a chance to see half full, take the time and come see what the buzz is all about.
