 HawaiiPaper Bag Records(Stars, Matthew Barber) are very pleased to present their newest jewel, indie newcomers 'hawaii'.Coming hot on the heels of the recent successes of Broken Social Scene, Stars and Matthew Barber, 'hawaii' is destined to follow in those same footsteps, that being sincerely crafted pop music from tremendously talented people. Bringing lush atmospherics to our barren soundscapes, expect to be pleasantly surprised by the richness with which they bring to their art. Their songs about love, adventure, heartbreak and disenchantment tend to intertwine as naturally as the situations do in real life, thus an emotional chaos within the beautiful order of things. All this through the lens of a neo-pychedelia that will leave listeners in a dreamlike pop daze. Things are beginning to flourish for 'hawaii' as the band drops their debut disc on June 17. |
