Motel Saturday, July 22, 2006
Get yerself a summer's evening of rock'n'roll luvin' on July 22 as Motel hits the bar at C'est What? again.
Not to be confused with 80s popsters "the motels", "motel the band" from south america, or that seedy stretch of Lakeshore Blvd. in south Etobicoke, this Motel is a local five-piece rock band featuring graduates from past local faves Maybrick, Plaid Daddies and Declan Nine (and a couple of talented noobs). We endeavour to play unpretentious music that we like listening to AND have a good time doing it. Collective influences range quite a bit - we're all big music fans of course - but the sound that comes out strays into a territory where [name-check-1], [name-check-2] and [name-check-3] all drink some strong coffee, knock back a couple pints and turn their amps up nice and loud.
Supporting this time around will be the dreamy sparkly tones of the National Records Board.
Show will commence sometime past 10pm and cover is five $.
