Simon Wilcox Simon Wilcox, daughter of local blues guitar legend David Wilcox, blends and blurs the edges between rock, folk, trippy jazz and slow-burn blues, into what she describes as "gangsta folk." Her debut CD, Mongrel Of Love, shows this musical approach to be natural domain where she can explore the familiar and eternal themes of romance, consolation, and heartache (not necessarily in that order) with charm, humour, and courageous emotional honesty. A commanding performer and storyteller, Wilcox recently toured with Chantal Kreviazuk. |
