Island Tour

We took a spin around the Islands of Scotland at our last whisky tasting on November 20, 2001.

There was plenty of peaty smokiness to go around, although the tasters seemed to have a fondness for single malts with a fair amount of body to balance the quirky brine and smoke flavours characteristic of these whiskies. The top finishers were Highland Park 12 yr. (Orkney) with a median score of 23.8 out of thirty, Talisker 10 yr. (Skye) at 22.5, and Ledaig 15 yr. (Mull) with 21.3. All ranked far above the rest of the pack.

Prices listed below are the approximate retail prices from the LCBO.
